This is the perfect opportunity to take a break from your sightseeing activities, get a little exercise, and soak up some fresh mountain air! Here are 4 Pigeon Forge walking trails that you need to explore:
1. Patriot Park Walking Trail
One of the Pigeon Forge walking trails that you need to explore is the trail at Patriot Park ! This lovely park is located right along the Parkway and offers a green oasis among the endless go-kart tracks, arcades, and miniature golf courses! The half-mile walking trail features a short stroll for those who want to take a break from driving but with plenty of things to see including flagpoles with the flags from all 50 states. The park is also home to a historic missile, as well as a large model of the Liberty Bell and Winterfest displays during the holiday season!
2. Wears Farm City Park Trails
Wears Farm City Park is a beautiful facility that serves as the main park for the City of Pigeon Forge and features 118 acres of open space with lots of recreational options, including some fantastic walking trails! The park is situated at 623 Wears Valley Road and is open to the public, so come on over for a pleasant diversion from all of the activity on the Parkway! You’ll want to bring the kids along for the fun too, as Wears Farm City Park also offers two playgrounds and a basketball court!
3. Pigeon Forge Riverwalk Greenway
If you want to walk a little further while visiting Patriot Park, the Pigeon Forge Riverwalk Greenway connects to the Patriot Park trail! This delightful paved path runs alongside the Little Pigeon River and stretches for 4 miles, connecting one side of town to the other. In addition to the entrance at Patriot Park, you’ll find the other two main entrances at Jake Thomas Road and Butler Street at Ashley Avenue. If you walk far enough from Patriot Park, you’ll reach The Island in Pigeon Forge , a massive shopping, dining, and entertainment complex!
4. Veterans Boulevard Greenway
The Veterans Boulevard Greenway is a walking trail that runs along Veterans Boulevard and connects Pigeon Forge to Sevierville. The greenway travels about 4 miles from Gold Rush Road across from Dollywood and then heads up to the Sevierville Greenway. While strolling along this 10-foot-wide paved path, you’ll feel miles away from the busier part of Pigeon Forge! One of the best places to start your walk is at the Hospital Trailhead and Parking area, which is adjacent to the LeConte Medical Center. From there, walk along Blanton Drive to Veterans Boulevard and either turn left toward Dollywood or right toward Sevierville!
